50 Cent Sells Mansion & Donates Money To Charity
50 Cent Sells Mansion & Donates Money To Charity: 50 Cent has finally sold his Connecticut mansion and now he’s donating the money to charity.
Curtis Jackson bought the estate from Mike Tyson’s ex-wife in 2003 for $4.1 million and has been trying to sell it for years. He didn’t get his asking $18.5 million price tag, but settled for $3.1 million this week. 50 was charging $100,000 per month in rent to offset the property’s massive $70,000 upkeep, so he doesn’t mind forking over the sale to his charity G-Unity.
The 55,000 square foot home contains 21 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, nine kitchens, an infinity pool, grotto, indoor pool, casino, helicopter pad, gym, recording studio, nightclub, basketball courts, a pond, and more. 50 Cent talked about it during a recent interview with Stephen Colbert saying:
“I don’t want a big house no more. I experienced that with the Mike Tyson mansion. I bought it. It’s 55,000 square feet. You look down the hallway and then you go, “You ever look down the hallway in your house and not want to go down there?” I don’t care what’s down there. I don’t want to go over there huh. Then things would break because you didn’t use it.”
50’s G-Unity group focuses on providing grants to non-profit organizations involved in improving the lives of low-income communities in America.
Congratulations to 50 Cent and his foundation.
